Pengutronix was founded in 2001 as one of the first embedded Linux companies in Germany and provides professional services for the use of Linux in industrial applications.

Our employees are experienced Linux developers. We focus on the operating system, the part of the software stack above the hardware and below our customers’ applications.

We practice mainline-first development to simplify the long-term maintenance of across the full open-source software stack.

As an independent FOSS consultancy, Pengutronix' consulting and development offerings can focus on our customers requirements, select the appropriate components and build a tailored solution.

Our open source update framework RAUC is widely used across the industry and already integrated into Cumulocity via thin-edge.io. In that context, we can provide integration services as well as custom optimizations or new features as required.

To complement the development services, we also provide support for testing automation via the labgrid framework.
